The Farmer City Haunted Forest: A Local Halloween Tradition!

Each October, Farmer City's South Park transforms into a chillingly delightful experience as the community comes together for The Farmer City Haunted Forest—an annual seasonal event unlike any other.
Beginning as an event sponsored by the local Chamber, the Haunted Forest has grown and morphed into it's own Not-for-profit community event! It takes a village, so if you're interested in volunteering or joining our board, Click here for more information!
Hop aboard the Haunted Hayrack Ride and journey through South Park, deep into the eerie Salt Creek Campsites where fright lurks around every turn. Watch as the woods come alive with haunting Halloween themes, featuring animatronic creatures and live actors who are more than happy to deliver a scare or two! From creepy dolls, to werewolves, and even getting chased with a chainsaw... you never know what spine-tingling terror awaits in the forest.
Saturday Afternoon Children’s Matinee
Not all scares are created equal! Families are invited to enjoy a lighter dose of Halloween fun during the Children’s Matinee held on Saturday afternoons. This daytime event includes: Barrel train rides through the park, Costume contests for kids of all ages, Classic children’s games, Face painting and temporary tattoos!
Best of all, The Farmer City Haunted Forest is completely free to the public! This spooktacular experience is made possible by a group of generous and dedicated sponsors who believe in bringing the community together for unforgettable seasonal fun. Their support ensures that every scream, smile, and shiver is shared without cost.
Whether you're chasing screams or collecting smiles, the Haunted Forest has something for everyone. Come for the fright—stay for the fun!
